WATER DISTRIBUTION MANAGER – PUBLIC WORKS

Location: Oshkosh, WI

Salary: We offer excellent benefits, with the anticipated starting salary for this position ranging from $81,785.60 – $93,475.20 depending on qualifications.

This position is responsible for managing, leading, supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Water Distribution Division.  These activities include planning and directing the daily operation and maintenance of the water distribution and meter reading systems in conformance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin Public Service Commission rules and regulations, and American Water Works Association standards.  This position requires independent and practical problem-solving skills.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage Water Distribution Division system construction activities
  • Manage Water Distribution System inventory and budget
  • Manage maintenance of Water Distribution System and customer service
  • Develop and maintain employee engagement and training programs

Required minimum qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Applied Science, Public Administration, Water Resources or a related field is highly preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the construction and maintenance of water distribution systems, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Wisconsin Waterworks Operator Grade 1: D Certification. Equivalent certification will be considered with the ability to obtain this Wisconsin certification within one year of hire.

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
