City of West Bend is accepting applications for a full-time Sewer Operations Specialist.
Experienced Wastewater Operators are encouraged to apply. Under limited supervision, will be responsible for work of routine difficulty in the operation and maintenance of the treatment plant, collection system and lift stations. Have the ability to obtain, or currently have, wastewater certification in the following sub-classes: A1, A2, B, C, P, D, L and SS within four years. Two years minimum Wastewater Treatment Plant background required or equivalent experience. Cityworks and computer experience a plus, with an emphasis on a mechanical background desired. Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, including CDL class B/C with endorsement, N tanker and air brakes is required within three months of hire. Must complete a training program and demonstrate proficiency. A pre-employment drug screening, physical, vision, hearing and spirometry tests are required to be eligible for hire. Candidates will need to pass a background check.
The City of West Bend offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including health and life insurance. Starting salary will be $29.29 – $31.03 DOQ. Immediate promotion possible with desired experience and licenses. This position is open until filled.
