Job Summary: Village of Mishicot is seeking a Public Works Laborer to join its team. As a Public Works Laborer, you will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the village’s infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and other public facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, and shoveling
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and other public facilities
- Operate light equipment such as trucks, graders, and backhoes
- Assist in the collection and disposal of trash and debris
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Public Works Department
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience in a related field (such as construction, maintenance, or landscaping) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor tasks
- Valid CDL driver’s license or possess within 6 mo.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to obtain a water & sewer certification within 1 year
