City of Washburn is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Water Operator in Charge within the Department of Public Works. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position requiring the successful applicant to work a schedule of Monday through Friday and any emergency or non-emergency callouts as determined by the City.
The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of water distribution systems and facilities; must have an outstanding driving record, must have and keep a Groundwater and Water Distribution Grade 1 Certificate issued by the State of Wisconsin; and must have high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must also successfully pass a physical examination and drug and alcohol screen, and background check. Previous experience as a water operator is required. The pay range is $28.00 – $33.00 per hour depending upon experience and certifications. Wage rates may be subject to wage progression based on qualifications. Excellent fringe benefit package.
