What You’ll Be Doing:
- Master of Operations: Monitor and adjust the wastewater flow and treatment processes. Keep an eye on everything, and tweak it to perfection.
- Daily Detective: Keep meticulous records, logs, and charts. You’ll be our go-to for using SCADA and computer data entry to track plant performance.
- Equipment Guru: Operate, control, and make necessary repairs to a wide range of equipment. Your touch will keep everything from raw sewage pumps to aeration systems running smoothly.
- Quality Controller: Maintain strict process controls, collect samples, and perform physical and chemical analyses—it’s all in a day’s work.
Are You Up for the Challenge?
Liquids Operator I:
Education: Associate’s Degree in Water, Wastewater, or a similar field. No degree? No problem! One year of relevant experience after high school works too.
Certification: Ready to earn your Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade T Certification? You’ll need this plus one subclass within a year of hire.
Liquids Operator II:
Education: Same educational background as Operator I.
Certification: Already got your Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade T Certification? Perfect. Plus one subclass and you’re good to go.
