On another note, our National Association has started a campaign of support for USDA-Rural Development.  USDA-RD has improved rural America through the years and at a cost that almost everyone in Wisconsin can afford.  Please read through the information at  Rural Water Strong  to see how USDA-RD has improved Public Health, Sustainability, Economic Vitality and Affordability in rural America and Rural Wisconsin.  Take the pledge ( Pledge — Rural Water Strong ) and help us by writing a letter to your Congressman.  These can be sent to me, and I can forward them to Washington.  This is something you all can take pride in taking part in the supporting in for just a couple minutes of your time!

Oneida County board to consider resolution opening public land to mining – The potential mining site is less than a mile from the Willow Flowage, a man-made reservoir that has been designated an “outstanding water resource” by the DNR for its high water quality and largely untouched wilderness area.
