City of Elkhorn, WI, is accepting applications for a full-time Water Utility Superintendent. This position is responsible for overseeing the field operation and maintenance of the Elkhorn Water Utility, serving a population of approximately 10,247 residents. The Water Utility Superintendent oversees a staff of five water operators.
In this vital role, you’ll contribute to maintaining and improving our City’s water systems, ensuring reliable and high-quality water services for Elkhorn residents. As part of our team, you’ll perform a variety of tasks focusing on the repair, maintenance, and operation of the City’s water treatment and distribution systems, directly supporting the efficient operation of our water infrastructure.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, performing all duties of a Water Treatment Facility Operator, coordinating work assignments and schedules, handling tasks such as preparing reports and monitoring inventory, performing required testing functions, serving as the Operator In Charge (OIC) when needed, performing general maintenance duties, and assisting in training and ensuring safety compliance among staff.
Ideal applicants will have 5 years of experience as a Water Utility Operator with WIDNR Grade (D) (G) (I) (Z) certifications.
The anticipated hiring range for the position is $38.09 to $44.63 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. The full range advances to $51.67 per hour.
