The Accounting Specialist will perform accounting duties and functions in the areas of accounts payable, contract/project management, financial audit contact for accounts payable and accounts receivable and maintaining accounts receivable cash record keeping/reconciliation.

Details about the Position:
This position will manage the accounts payable processing by working with general ledger account numbers, purchase orders, processing payments for invoices as well as reconciling company credit cards. The Accounting Specialist will also oversee accounts receivable processing by applying payments to customer accounts, accurately process and send customer invoices for Hauled Waste received, Industrial Pretreatment Program, Municipalities treatment services and other miscellaneous items. In this role, the Accounting Specialist will also provide back-up support to the Accounting Manager in key accounting functions such as actual and budget account analysis, journal entries, and various audit reports and requests.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Accounting.
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experiences will also be considered.
Compensation:
- Accounting Specialist Hiring Wage Range: $26.65 – $30.41 per hour
- Accounting Specialist Full Salary Range: $26.65 – $37.62 per hour
