City of Muskego, Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Full-Time Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Technician in our Department of Public Works. The purpose of this position is to coordinate building maintenance and repair tasks for City owned facilities. The position is responsible for various types of semi-skilled and skilled work including maintenance, repair, painting, remodeling and/or new construction tasks associated with plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. This position also assists with snow and ice removal around city facilities.
The position maintains and troubleshoots lighting and electrical systems, pumps, motors and heating and cooling equipment. Performs preventative and reactive maintenance, plumbing repairs and also inspects fire alarms, emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, ways of egress, handrails and roofs. The position also coordinates/oversees contractors who complete plumbing and custodial work and also performs regular inspections of building systems for safety of operation.

Minimum Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license
- Vocational/technical training in building maintenance or trades
- Three to five years of maintenance experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
The annual salary is $59,364 to $77,153 DOQ. This position also offers a great benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, WRS retirement, sick and vacation leave.
