Village of Oregon is currently accepting applications and supporting documentation for the full-time salaried position of Civil Engineer. Responsibilities will include the ability to support the Public Works and Utilities Department engineering functions, including plat and plan review, design oversight, general project management, and construction management and oversight for public and private infrastructure projects in the Village of Oregon. Responsibilities will also include limited support for Community Development Department functions such as Building Inspection coordination and Zoning Code enforcement.
Salary and Benefits: This is a salaried position with an annual starting salary between $84,448 and $96,512 depending on qualifications. Benefits include excellent health insurance, generous vacation and floating holidays, sick leave, holidays, and Wisconsin Retirement System.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited Engineering Program. Minimum of three (3) years of municipal engineering and project management experience and on-going continuing education is required. Candidates should be licensed as a Civil Engineer in the State of Wisconsin or be able to acquire this license within 6 months of hire. Candidates should be able to handle a busy work environment, multi-task on projects, work collaboratively as part of a team, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to pass an in-depth background check.
