Laborer/Equipment Operator

City of Edgerton is taking applications for a full-time Laborer/Equipment Operator with the City of Edgerton Utilities Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating equipment (dump truck, plow truck with wing, end loader, backhoe, and other heavy equipment), be able to lift and carry objects in excess of 100 pounds, have a valid Wisconsin Class B CDL and a high school diploma or equivalent. Any skilled labor/utility experience is a plus. Candidates with current DNR Water/Wastewater certifications are preferred. Duties include operation and maintenance of equipment at the wastewater treatment facility, laboratory analysis, water system maintenance, sanitary sewer collection system maintenance, utility locates, recording daily data, and other duties identified by the Municipal Services Director.

The starting wage range is $25.73 – $27.13 per hour based on qualifications, with annual step increase each year for the first ten years. Excellent benefit package. Typical work hours are M-F from 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime and on call duty rotation.
