City of Fort Atkinson is now accepting resumes for the position of Maintenance Specialist in the Wastewater Utility.

This is a responsible position in the maintenance program and is under the supervision of the Wastewater Supervisor.  Responsibilities include assisting with planning, scheduling and completion of all preventive and corrective maintenance, on process and general equipment as well as buildings. Applicants should have 1-2 years of experience in wastewater or industrial process equipment maintenance, with an emphasis on safety. Successful candidates must be able to attain certification by the WDNR as a Wastewater Operator Basic Grade and a Wisconsin CDL. Training is provided, including classroom and hands-on. Work includes 1 weekend every six weeks.

The City of Fort Atkinson offers an excellent wage and benefit package, including the Wisconsin Retirement System, health and dental insurance, paid sick days, holidays and vacation. The starting wage rate is $24.57 per hour and may reach $27.37 per hour after 36 months of successful employment.
