City of Menomonie, Wisconsin is accepting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Operator at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Menomonie (pop. 16,616) is located in west central Wisconsin, approximately 65 miles east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area.
Duties include plant operations and solids processing, equipment trouble shooting and repair, collection system and lift station maintenance, and laboratory analysis.
Qualifications
An associate/technical degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. The position requires knowledge of wastewater treatment and the ability to obtain a State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Advanced Wastewater Certification with subclasses: A1, B, C, D1, E, F, SS (new subclass system). A WDNR Operator-In-Training Wastewater Certification is required within one year of the date of hire. The operator must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. A State of Wisconsin Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 3 months of hiring.
Wages and Hours
Salary Range is $25.47 to $29.04/hour.
Normal working hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday. Weekend, holiday and on-call duty is required.
