City of Fort Atkinson Wastewater Utility is accepting resumes for the position of Wastewater Utility Foreperson. Under the direction of the Wastewater Superintendent the successful candidate will assist in the directing and supervising of Utility staff in the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Utility facilities. The foreperson plans, assigns, instructs, supervises, performs and assists staff in daily activities as well as assists in the training of Utility staff.
The successful candidate should have an associate’s/bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent work experience that demonstrates the capabilities, decision making skills and experience needed. The candidate must be in receipt of/or eligible for, certification as an Advanced Level WDNR Operator in subgrades A1, B, C, D, L, P, SS, and able to accumulate 24 hours of qualifying CEU’s over three years to maintain WDNR certification. Several years of experience in wastewater or industrial process equipment maintenance is desired. Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repair of wastewater plant mechanical systems and equipment is essential.
