Water Utility Operator

Lake Geneva Utility Commission seeks an energetic, organized, and community-minded individual looking to become part of our team-oriented group of utility professionals.

This position is responsible for performing the daily operations, maintenance, and infrastructure needs of the Water Treatment and Distribution System. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Water Superintendent.

The Operator I position requires a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and a good driving record; a high school diploma or equivalent; and experience in utility construction, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or building maintenance.

Preferred candidates will have experience related to the construction, repair, and maintenance of municipal utility infrastructure and equipment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Candidates who possess Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Operator Certifications in D – Distribution, G – Groundwater, and I – Iron Removal will qualify for the Operator II position.
